I would say Florence is a MUST see. So many amazing itnhgs to do and see and some great outdoor markets. I would skip Milan or only spend a day there. The cathedral is beautiful (as most Italian cathedrals are) and so is the Opera House, but those are the only 2 great itnhgs I saw while there. It seems a lot more industrialized than other cities like Florence and Rome and I didn’t see any amazing shopping that couldn’t find in Rome. I have also heard amazing itnhgs about Venice, but have never been. Let me know when your Italian trip is. I would love to join you for that portion!
